THE ROGERIO CASAS-ALATRISTE H. LIBRARY
The Rogerio Casas-Alatriste H. Library houses Franz Mayer's book collection, who, as well as being an avid art collector, was also a considerable bibliophile.
The library specializes in decorative arts and houses one of the most important collections of El ingenioso hidalgo don Quijote de La Mancha of the Americas.
The historical relevance of this archive is due, in part, to its antiquity, beauty and the rarity of the editions, which are true works of art. As well as for their content, these books are also outstanding for their binding, typefaces, illlustrations and miniature paintings.
The library is named after the founding president of the museum foundation.
